Toyota unveiled the Yaris Hybrid at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. Toyota continues
its Hybrid innovation by building the first B-segment hybrid in Europe. No word
yet if the Yaris Hybrid will make it to North American shores.
Performance
The Yaris Hybrid is equipped with a 1.5L
gasoline engine that produces 74-horsepower and a 80-horsepower electric motor.
The Yaris Hybrid stores electricity in its light weight nickel-metal hydride
battery pack. The fuel consumption of the Yaris Hybrid will be around 67 mpg on
the European scale.
